MuseNews
Bringing Art to Life
MuseNews is an editorial design project exploring the intersection of art, culture, and travel. This issue follows the career of Artemisia Gentileschi, highlighting the cities that shaped her work and influence. The magazine combines historical insight with travel recommendations, providing readers an immersive experience that brings art and history to life.
The Process
I conducted research on Artemisia Gentileschi’s life, artistic milestones, and the cities connected to her work to build a strong foundation for the magazine’s narrative. From there, I developed a structure that blended historical context with travel-focused content, ensuring readers could follow her journey while engaging with each location. I explored layouts, typography, and imagery to balance readability with visual interest, and created supporting design elements such as pull quotes, maps, and image treatments to enhance the storytelling. Throughout the process, I created different iterations for each spread to maintain flow, clarity, and a cohesive editorial voice across the entire issue.
The Conclusion
The final MuseNews issue presents a visually rich, easy-to-navigate magazine that immerses readers in Gentileschi’s artistic journey. Thoughtful layouts, bold typography, and curated imagery guide readers through history while connecting it to real-world travel experiences, making the content both educational and engaging.
